Carnival there so we just left behind, I personally am not a great admirer of this holiday - we can say that I spent the first part of my life doing the countdown waiting for the moment where I was finally old enough to distance themselves from elegantly masks masks & ^ _ ^.
But the desserts, well ... That's another matter.
And when you're gonna get a bad day, it's nice to discover that just smeared her hands with a sticky dough, roll into balls and fry in a pan gestures are able to bring a smile.
Unfortunately, as so often can not remember where I got this recipe - I'll eventually learn to accurately record the sources on my quadernino, as the bibliography of the thesis! ^ _ ^
As always, if anyone would recognize, let me know and I will add the necessary credits.
INGREDIENTS: 300 g flour
2 eggs 100 g sugar 50 g butter
half a bag of yeast
half a glass of brandy or rum
Mix together ingredients, and before the eggs with the sugar, then butter (softened at room temperature), brandy, flour and baking powder. Mix thoroughly - the dough has a consistency very sticky, so put aside the rings and if necessary add a little more 'flour.
Heat oil in a pan and prepare the mix with a lot of balls and dip them in hot oil, remove when golden.
The critical point for the perfect damsel is this: the oil temperature. If it is too hot, they will burn the outside while remaining raw inside, so keep an eye on the amount of oil and armed with a pinch of patience ^ - ^. Put
then cool on a plate covered with a sheet of absorbent paper and when cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar ... And, as always, enjoy!
