Millet was for me a fairly recent discovery. Or rather, I knew these yellow grains because, as a child, my grandmother bought it in a while and took me to feed the pigeons. ^ _ ^
But I have neglected in the kitchen until I discovered the wonders contained in these spheres: rich in iron, fluorine, silicon, magnesium, phosphorus, iron and vitamin A, considered a natural anti-stress, as well as a valuable aide for the beauty of skin, hair and nails and to combat mental fatigue. This kitchen without first putting it to soak and can indulge our imagination, because as well as such may be used to prepare dog food and even fresh .. In short, Since then, there is always in my pantry! ^ _ ^
I refer you here and here if you want to know him better, but if you want to experiment in the kitchen, here's an idea - but one of many, because its really sweet and mild flavor allows one thousand combinations!
INGREDIENTS (for two): 150 g of millet
onion two tablespoons of canned corn
a handful of black olives
tablespoon dried marjoram
bay salt pepper
oil for cooking miles, I start always fry the onion, then adding (dry) and toast the millet and for a while before you cover it with water, add salt and pepper and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the water is all absorbed. Control the cooking and, if it had to be too hard, add a little water and still leave you absorb.
In this case I fry the onion and bay leaves and marjoram, I added olives and corn and let it roast a little before adding the corn. The remainder of the recipe remains the same, once ready, you can eat hot or cold ..
What else to say at this point, if not .. good appetite? ^ _ ^
