The association "Friends of the heart" of Conegliano, Vittorio Veneto was born in mid-2001 on the initiative of the OU Medical Cardiology Hospital of Conegliano. This is a non-profit association.

associations "Friends of the Heart" are available all over Italy for many years and Triveneto in particular, the main reason they are born is that cardiovascular disease is all over the world, a major problem, being the first leading cause of death. It 'also expected that in future the problem will tend to become even more important because of the greater longevity of the population.
E 'known fact that aging increases the incidence of cardiovascular disease and its complications. The commitment to combat these diseases is heard and pursued all over the world economically advanced and requires the implementation of various strategies and complex: to prevent, research, enhancing the culture of the operators, to better equip the cardiac structures, assist not only heart disease but also those at risk cariovascolare, spread through popular publications and scientific knowledge in favor of ordinary citizens cardiology, family physicians, specialists do not cardiologists and nurses. Many of these objectives are part of the tasks of medical institutions and have already successfully prosecuted, in others it is certainly a useful help from lay organizations (ie non-health) that may assist the institutions. In this sense, the association "Friends of the Heart" can make a valuable support, basing its strength on the voluntary and solidarity of its members.
